BASIC INSURANCE COVER

All our Rental cars include Standard Motor Vehicle Insurance for no extra charge. Standard Motor Vehicle Insurance carries an excess liability (or deductible) of $2,500 excluding GST.

This means that in the unfortunate event that the rental vehicle is involved in an accident or is damaged, you are liable for the first $2,500 excluding GST.

LIMITED EXCESS COVER

As mentioned above, all our rental vehicles include Standard Motor Vehicle Insurance for no extra charge. However, you can choose to reduce your excess liability to $500 excluding GST with this option by paying $20 per day.

By selecting the ‘Reduced Excess Cover’ option, you reduce your maximum excess liability to $500 excluding GST.

PLEASE NOTE: As the renter, you are liable for the excess regardless of whether you are 'at fault' or not.

After the vehicle has been repaired and the costs are finalized, GRAB A RENTAL CAR will refund the difference between the total cost and the excess amount charged, if applicable. The excess is the maximum amount you will be charged.
